Wireless Microphone Rental in Connecticut

Wireless Mics, Coordinated and Delivered

We rent Shure ULX-D wireless microphone systems out of Newington, CT, scaled to whatever your event needs. A panel might need 4 to 8 mics. A musical with a full cast can need 24 or 30. Every rental includes frequency coordination, system setup, and the option of an on-site audio engineer. Most of our work is in central Connecticut, but we travel across the Northeast for larger productions, including Boston, NYC, and the broader CT/MA/RI/NY area.

Built for Demanding Productions

30+ Channels

Our inventory scales from a few handhelds to a full theatrical rig. Same platform Broadway productions and touring shows use.

24-bit Digital Audio

Clean, transparent sound with AES-256 encryption. Secure enough for corporate and government work, transparent enough for high-end theatre.

Frequency Coordination

We scan your venue's RF environment with Shure Wireless Workbench and program clean frequencies before delivery. No show-day surprises.

AA or Rechargeable

AA batteries (8+ hrs) for larger rentals, or Shure SB900B/C rechargeable batteries (12+ hrs) for shorter events with low channel counts. We can supply both.

Body Mics, Lavaliers, and Earsets for Theatre

Theatrical wireless is what we built this inventory for. Community theatre revivals, high school musicals, regional productions: we can mic the cast cleanly and coordinate the channels so they don't step on each other.

Bodypack + Earset

Standard for musical theatre. Shure ULXD1 bodypacks paired with earset microphones (DPA, Countryman, or equivalent). They handle the high SPL of vocal performance, stay secure through movement and choreography, and pick up cleanly even with wig work or stage makeup.

Bodypack + Lavalier

Better for straight theatre, panel-style productions, and any setup where an earset reads as too visible on stage. Lavaliers can go hair-mounted, lapel, or chest depending on what the production calls for.

Channel Counts We Run

A typical mid-sized musical runs 12 to 18 channels of wireless on principals. A larger production with ensemble mics runs 24 to 30. We routinely build systems in this range, and can help with plot doubling if you need to stretch fewer transmitters across a larger cast.

Extras Available

Different color microphones are available upon request, subject to availability. We also sell medical-grade tape for lavs and head mics, AA batteries for larger rentals, and can provide Shure SB900B/C rechargeable batteries for one-day events with low channel counts.

Beyond Theatre

Corporate Events & Conferences

Keynotes, panel discussions, breakout sessions, town halls, and product launches. AES-256 encryption keeps sensitive content off the airwaves. We supply lavs for presenters and handhelds for panels and Q&A. On-site operator service available for multi-track sessions.

Frequently Asked Questions

What wireless microphone systems do you rent in Connecticut?

Our wireless microphone inventory is built around the Shure ULX-D digital wireless platform. We stock ULXD2 handheld transmitters, ULXD1 bodypack transmitters, and a full range of receivers (ULXD4, ULXD4D, ULXD4Q, and the ANX4 1U high-density receiver). Bodypacks are available with lavalier or earset microphones, suitable for theatre, presenters, and houses of worship.

How many channels of wireless mics can you provide for a single event?

We carry 30+ simultaneous channels of ULX-D. That's enough to fully mic a large theatrical cast, run a multi-room conference, or coordinate a multi-zone worship service. Smaller counts are routine. A typical panel runs 4 to 8 channels, a corporate keynote 1 to 2, and a mid-sized theatre production 12 to 24.

Do you rent theatrical body mics and lavaliers?

Yes. Bodypack rentals (Shure ULXD1) come with your choice of lavaliers (lapel or hair placement) or earsets for active stage performance. Earsets are the standard for musical theatre because they handle the high SPL of vocal performance and stay secure through movement.

What's included with a wireless microphone rental?

Three ways to take a rental. You can pick it up from our shop in Newington, we can deliver and set it up at your venue with frequency coordination and a full system test, or we can include it as part of an event services package with an operator on site.

Why digital wireless instead of analog?

ULX-D gives you 24-bit audio quality, AES-256 encryption (important for corporate and government events), tighter channel spacing so we can fit more channels into the available RF spectrum, and rechargeable battery support for predictable runtime. For theatre and corporate work it also eliminates the compression artifacts that plagued analog systems.

Do you handle frequency coordination?

Included when we deliver and set up the rental. If you're picking up the gear yourself, send us a scan of your venue's RF environment over email beforehand and we'll program your system before you leave with it.

What areas do you serve?

We're based in Newington, CT. Most of our work is across central Connecticut (Hartford, West Hartford, New Britain, Bristol, Meriden, Middletown, Farmington, Glastonbury, Wethersfield, and surrounding towns). For larger productions and multi-day projects we travel, including Boston, NYC, and the broader Northeast. Tell us what you need and we'll quote it.

How far in advance should I book?

Reach out as soon as you have a date. For larger rentals (20+ channels) we recommend 1 to 3 months out so we can plan inventory and channel coordination. We book first come, first served. For emergencies, call us and we'll do what we can.

Do you deliver, set up, and operate the system?

All three are available. Delivery and setup is the most common option. We deliver to your venue, rack the system, run antenna placement, coordinate frequencies, and hand off a tested rig. On-site operator service adds a trained audio engineer who manages the wireless live throughout your event (gain riding, mute management, and backup channel deployment if a transmitter fails).

Need wireless mics for your event?

Tell us about your production. Channel count, dates, venue, and we'll put a quote together. Most quotes go out within one business day.
