What size sound systems do you rent?
Smaller kits start at a single powered speaker for a meeting or presentation. Common kits include a 2-speaker stereo PA for receptions and presentations (audiences up to about 150), and a 4-box PA with subs for outdoor concerts and graduations (audiences up to about 500). For larger crowds we can dry-hire line arrays through our network (typically 8 boxes plus 2 dual-18 subs per side) and operate them ourselves, scaling up to events of roughly 5,000 people.
Can you handle summer concert series and outdoor concerts?
Yes. Outdoor concerts and summer series are core work for us. We bring weather-aware kits (covered amp racks, gaff-taped runs, contingency for sudden rain) and we coordinate with your power and stage provider on input distribution. For multi-band bills we patch a stage monitor system on top of the FOH PA, plus the wireless and wired mics you need. For larger outdoor crowds we source line array systems through our network.
What does a corporate event or ribbon cutting sound system rental look like?
For corporate work (ribbon cuttings, press events, town halls, public meetings, product launches) we deliver a compact PA scaled to the room, lectern and wireless handheld mics, lavalier for the speaker, an Allen & Heath digital mixer, and on-site setup. Most corporate events are quoted as a turnkey package including delivery, setup, optional operator, and pickup.
Do you do graduation sound systems?
Yes. Middle school, high school, and college graduations are core work for us. Each rental includes a PA appropriately sized to the venue (indoor gym, outdoor field, or auditorium), wireless and lectern mics for principal and speakers, lavs for guest speakers, and an operator to manage levels and the playback cues for the procession and recession.
Are operators included?
Setup and tuning is included with delivery rentals. Live operation during your event (an audio engineer running the console for the duration) is available as an add-on. For corporate, theatrical, and concert work where someone needs to ride faders and respond live, the operator add-on is usually worth the cost. For a static presentation system, it's optional. Dry-hire rentals don't include setup, tuning, or an operator — that part is on you.
How much does it cost to rent a sound system?
For delivery and full-production rentals, pricing depends on kit size, duration (single-day vs multi-day), whether we include an operator, and travel. We quote per project rather than per item. Tell us the venue, audience size, event type, and required mic count, and we'll send a quote within one business day. Dry-hire pricing works differently and is more straightforward — reach out and we'll send our current rates.
Do you bring backup gear?
Standard practice on delivery rentals. Every event leaves with a backup transmitter, backup capsule, spare cabling, and a spare mixer channel where applicable. For higher-stakes events (broadcasts, sponsored corporate work, large ceremonies) we bring a redundant signal path and pre-coordinate failover with you.
Do you provide power and staging?
We bring our own power distribution and cabling for the audio kit. We don't supply stage decks or rigging. For those we coordinate with your venue, your event production company, or a partner staging provider. Happy to recommend partners in central Connecticut if you don't have one lined up.
What's your service area for sound system rental?
We're based in Newington, CT. Most of our PA work runs across central Connecticut, plus New Haven, Springfield (MA), Waterbury, and similar-distance towns. Tell us about your event and we'll let you know if it's a fit.
